A few years after starting as a laborer, Matt left craft work and accepted the challenges of leadership positions including: Purchasing Agent, Safety Manager, Estimator, Project Manager, and Director of Estimating.Īs the Safety Manager for a large concrete contractor, Matt learned early in his career that the fundamentals of Activity Hazard Analysis, Pre-Task Planning, and effective communication are the most valuable tools in attaining a zero incident working environment.Īs a Project Manager, Matt was fortunate to play an integral role in such marquee Bay Area projects as UCSF Mission Bay Campus, Mills Peninsula Hospital Replacement, California Academy of Sciences, and Stanford Graduate School of Business.
